Three converters sit here, and none of them knows or cares what is in the vial. They work on the numbers printed on a label and the marks printed on a barrel, which is why one set of tools covers every compound in the library. What they share is a single equation, entered from three different directions depending on which number is already known.
Short answer
What these are: three compound-agnostic converters. They take a vial size, a water volume and a barrel scale, and return what the arithmetic supports for those figures and nothing else.
One equation, three directions: concentration is vial milligrams divided by water milliliters. One tool runs it forward to a syringe reading, one runs it to a concentration or back to a water amount, and one runs it backward from a chosen mark.
The fixed facts underneath: a U-100 barrel marks 100 units per mL, so a unit is 0.01mL. A U-40 barrel marks 40, so a unit is 0.025mL. One milligram is 1,000mcg.
What they never do: choose a concentration or a target mark for anyone. Both are decisions rather than constants, which is why every field starts empty and nothing renders until real numbers exist.

Miss one and there is no answer: a milligram figure with no water volume behind it has no reading, and a reading with no concentration behind it has no mass. That is arithmetic, not a design choice.
Which is also why nothing is prefilled: a default value in an empty field is a recommendation nobody asked for. The pages render blank until three real numbers exist, then render the working alongside the result.
